Job Overview

Position Schedule: Full-Time

Market Segmentation and Optimization within Market Management exists to align market specific outcomes with overall business objectives and guide appropriate investment in each geography. The group organizes a portfolio of initiatives to drive growth and efficiency, recommending correlated strategies across like markets to achieve desired outcomes. The team secures and coordinates appropriate investment and resources for each market to achieve the outcomes for which they are responsible. Finally, the team sets end-to-end vision and strategy for multi-year planning, incorporating ongoing market performance reporting, dashboards, and P&Ls to measure market results and drive accountability.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead pieces of strategy creation and/or execution within functional area of support

  • Ensure clear integration of strategy work with other firm strategic and operational initiatives.

  • Lead and develop a team (or teams) of associates for enhanced contribution to strategic work (as applicable).

  • Work effectively in a matrixed organization and across the broader enterprise. Identify and coordinate resources (people, systems, tools) not in your immediate hierarchy.

  • Lead key initiatives that tie directly to division strategy. This may include:

  • Identifying major and detailed project tasks, critical path, contentions and resources to manage the tasks.

  • Ensuring project schedule, scope and quality objectives are met by monitoring, using metrics and controls to measure progress, taking corrective action and escalating issues when necessary. Assess trade-offs to scope using cost / benefit analysis and make recommendations to senior leaders.

  • Working with other leaders and senior leadership to obtain the necessary resources to achieve initiative objectives.

  • Planning, identifying, analyzing and resolving initiative issues and risks.

  • Determining and executing prevention and mitigation strategies, as appropriate.

  • Scheduling and facilitating meetings, communicating progress and developing solutions to meet initiative goals. This may be related to a large project with multiple sub-projects.

  • Providing timely communication of relevant data to senior leadership for decision making.

  • Establishing and maintaining effective communications and relationships across multiple areas, divisions, and outside vendors who are working on the initiative.

  • Ability to create or conceptualize custom reporting and dashboards with KPIs, financial drivers, and insights in support of Firm initiatives/programs and/or provide feedback on reports created by other associates.

  • Analysis that facilitates the transformation of complex data/information into actionable insights.

  • Develop divisional and Firm-level measurements to influence strategic direction

The salary range for this role is based on national data and actual pay is based on skills, experience, education, and other relevant factors for a potential new associate:

Hiring Minimum: $96471

Hiring Maximum: $164262

Skills/Requirements

What Experience You Need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.

  • 6 years relevant work experience

  • 2+years in a leadership capacity

What Could Set You Apart:

  • Financial services credentials (e.g., Series 7, 63/66), MBA, or other advanced degree or certification (e.g., CFA)

  • Financial Services Industry Experience

  • Geography specific sales force investment allocation management

  • Ability to navigate ambiguous situations, set a strategy, and execute with an eye towards progress over perfection

Candidates that live within in a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.
